New Delhi is the capital city of India, with a charm of its own. Apart from being the administrative headquarter of India, it is a sought-after tourist destination as well. Thousands of people throng the city of Delhi everyday, with a purpose of their own. However, tourists constitute a notable percentage of the total visitors coming here. In earlier times, Delhi was ruled by a number of great kings and emperors, who left the signs of their majesty and glory in the form of splendid monuments. These ethereal structures have stood the test of time and even today, stand with their splendor, narrating the tales of the by gone era. Besides, the British architecture in the city is completely awe inspiring. Most of the buildings built during the colonial rule are now used by the different government departments.
